Groombridge’s sculpture is characterised by a deceptive simplicity of form and an economy of materials. His work makes evocative use of structural and poetic elements, including aspects of communication, perception, construction and measurement. His work is full of references to the transient nature of things, to balance, and to reciprocity. These references are visual cues to something else and implore the question: what is that point at which things intersect?
