A small village becomes the epicenter of a zombie outbreak, with nefarious forces exploiting the undead for their own dark purposes. As the stakes are raised, a dedicated doctor must uncover the cause of the plague and put an end to the nightmare.

The prime suspect is a reclusive woman who harbors a dark secret: she is the monstrous Gorgon, capable of turning men to stone with her gaze.

Throughout film history, fictional monsters are constantly being rewritten to depict historically and culturally conditioned fears often generated by a shared sense of the unknown. The word “monster” derives from the Latin word monstrum and is related to the verb monstrare, meaning to show or reveal. Monsters are portents; they warn us about what’s to come while revealing what is already present. When there are no monsters, how do we imagine what fills the gap?
